Mission Solano, the main organization in Fairfield that works with the homeless, celebrates it's 15th year of operation this month. Their signature program is "nomadic sheltering," where about 50 people travel to a different host site each evening and spend the night, getting meals, as well as a warm, safe night’s sleep. Recently, Mission Solano built the Bridge to Life Center, offering outreach to women and veterans.

Of the fifteen people who either lost their homes or have not been allowed to return, only one victim, Bianca, did not own the home. While all the other victims have been helped out through home insurance, Bianca is living in a homeless shelter with her three daughters. Above is a picture of Bianca with the same daughter who was carried out with the dog in the posting below. T.H.U.G.S., a local group, has helped donate items for Bianca's family, which are currently being kept in a storage unit.
