Nearly 90 baby birds and eggs are being cared for at the San Francisco Bay-Delta Wildlife Center in Cordelia after a large ficus tree containing a heronry of more than 50 nests split and toppled in downtown Oakland – sending dozens of young birds and nests with eggs onto the sidewalk.
